i gott u under my skin

Happy and I’m smiling,
Walk a mile to drink your water.

You know I’d love to love you,
And above you there’s no other. (except Michele mebbe)

We’ll go walking out
While others shout of war’s disaster.

Oh, we won’t give in,
Let’s go living in the past.

Once I used to join in
Every boy and girl was my friend.

Now there’s revolution, but they don’t know
What they’re fighting.

Let us close out eyes;
Outside their lives go on much faster.

Oh, we won’t give in,
We’ll keep living in the past.

Johnny B. Good

Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens

Stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Good

Who never learned to read or write at all
But he could play the guitar just like ringing a bell

Go, go, go Johnny go, go, go Johnny, go go
Go Johnny go, go, go Johnny go go

Johnny B. Good His mama told him "someday you will be a man
And you will be the leader of a big band

Many people coming from miles around
To hear your playing music when the sun goes down

Maybe someday you will be in lights saying Johnny B. Good"

Lou Majaw, the Shillong BOB DYLAN ...

The Great Society
Book Band
Genre : Rock From : Shillong - India Status : Active No of Hits : 279

Rudy Wallang - Guitar and Vocals
Sam Shullai - Drums and percussion
Ferdy Dkhar - Bass
Lou Majaw - Vocals and rhythm guitar
The Great Society was formed in the mid '70's with Lou Majaw (vocals/rhythm guitar), Arjun Sen (vocals/guitar) and Bert Cooper (drums) as the founding members. In 1980, Rudy Wallang joined the band as bass player. Soon after, Sam Shullai replaced Bert on drums. When Arjun decided to head out to Delhi, Rudy took up playing guitar and Ferdy Dkhar joined in as the bass player. Despite a series of impressive lineup changes in the twelve years of it's existence, Keith Wallang on drums, late Babit Jyrwa on drums and bass, Danny Shullai on bass and Bob Lyngdoh on harp, The Great Society is essentially Lou, Arjun, Rudy, Sam and Ferdy. The Great Society disbanded in 1992 but do perform ocassionally at reunions such as the Reggae Riddim Festival in February 2001. The Great Society toured the country extensively, earning cult status as one of the most dynamic livewire acts in the country. When The Great Society disbanded, Lou Majaw, singer/songwriter and the main force behind the band, took some time out before getting The Great Society together again with new members. All the while, Lou has been writing new songs and is now working on a solo album.Arjun Sen, who has now been in Delhi since 1986, first began playing the hotel circuit and is now one of the most respected and in-demand music composers in the music business in India. He is currently working on building up his own recording studio.Rudy Wallang, leaving The Great Society in 1993, along with Sam Shullai and Ferdy Dkhar formed the band, Mojo. Together with his brother Keith, Rudy has started off a recording studio in Shillong and is now busy with projects for local as well as outstation artists.Ferdy and Sam, besides playing with Mojo are also otherwise occupied. Sam works with a mobile phone company while Ferdy heads the Western Music department at the local All India Radio Station. Even though The Great Society split up a long time ago, all ex members have been keeping in touch with each other, the binding force being the fantastic music that they created together. At this point in time, while each of them has grown musically, it appears the urge to re-create their music has become even stronger.

Tell Laura i love her .....

Oldies but goodies ..

Tommy and Laura were lovers he wanted to give here everything
Flowers presents and most of all a wedding ring

He saw a sign for a stockcar race a thousand dollar prize it read
He couldn't get Laura on the phone so to her mother Tommy said

Tell Laura I love her tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura I may be late I've something to do that cannot wait

He drove his car to the racing ground he was the youngest driver there
The crowd roared as they started to raceAround the truck they drove at a deadly pace

No one knows what happened that day how his car overturned in flames
But as they pulled him from the twisted wreck

With his dying breath they heard him say
Tell Laura I love her tell Laura I need her
Tell Laura not to cry my love for her will never die

Now in the chapel Laura prays for her Tommy who passed away
It was just for Laura that he lived and died alone in the chapel she can hear him cry

Tell Laura I love her...My love for her will never die

DATING kitten IN 1957 ..........

It was a beautiful world: the silly tings that we did - Kitten

It's the summer of 1957 and Harold (Saby) goes to pick up his date, Gerry Sue.

Harold's a pretty hip guy with his own car and a duck tail
hairdo. When he goes to the front door, Gerry Sue's father answers and
invites him in.
"Gerry Sue's not ready yet, so why don't you have a seat?"
he says. That's cool.

Gerry Sue's father asks Harold what they are planning to do. Harold replies
politely that they will probably just go to the malt shop or to a
drive-in-movie.

Gerry Sue's father responds, "Why don't you kids go out and screw? I hear
all the kids are doing it."

Naturally this comes as quite a surprise to Harold and he
says, "Whaaaat?"
"Yeah," says Gerry Sue's father, "We know Gerry Sue really likes to screw;
why, she'd screw all night if we let her!"

Harold's eyes light up and he smiles from ear to ear.
Immediately, he has revised the plans for the evening.

A few minutes later, Gerry Sue comes downstairs in her
little poodle skirt with her saddle shoes, and announces
that she's ready to go.
Almost breathless with anticipation, Harold escorts his date out the front
door while Dad is saying, "Have a good evening kids," with a small wink for
Harold.

About 20 minutes later, a thoroughly disheveled Gerry Sue
rushes back into the house, slams the door behind her and
screams at her father:

"Dammit Daddy! The Twist, it's called the Twist"
